We focus our attention on elements to create a healing environment through colors, sounds, lighting and cued messages for healing. We bring integrative services to traditional medical care models of treatment through energy therapies such as healing touch, therapeutic modalities of music therapy, massage therapy and acupuncture. We highlight training and person-centered care models by incorporating healing messages outside the door of a patient’s room as a reminder for our caregivers to pause, reflect and heal as they enter the room.

The long term area of the brain often remains intact until the very late stage of the disease. Therefore, we focus on that area of the brain by triggering memories and stimulation through renovated reminiscent rooms with cues and décor from the past. We also highlight the senses through our multisensory or snoezelen rooms to connect with those who have lost ability for verbal communication of their needs. By connecting through sights, sounds, smell, and touch, the brain of those with dementia can be soothed, calmed and stimulated.
