Dr. Lori Stevic-Rust is a board certified clinical health psychologist with a Diplomate from the American Board of Professional Psychology. She completed an internship at Henry Ford Hospital with specialty training in geriatrics, cardiac care, women’s health and integrative medicine. She is a national dementia healthcare consultant and serves on numerous professional boards including Chair, Lake County Council on Aging and advisory board for Alzheimer’s Association.
She is the recipient of awards for excellence in leadership and advocacy for at risk seniors, honored as a woman of achievement and inducted into the KSU Hall of Fame. Dr. Stevic-Rust is a successful national speaker and winner of the Corporate Keynote Speaker Award. Over the past twenty-five years, she has been a regular on air television and radio contributor.
She writes a Dr. Lori column for several national magazines and is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post. Dr. Stevic-Rust is the author of five books on topics ranging from depression, heart disease and wellness, a personal memoir on the art of aging with gratitude, Greedy for Life and her newest book, Put on Your Big Girl Shoes.
She is the proud member of a five generation family, a chocolate addict and describes herself as an avid Cleveland sports fan—which she claims by default makes her a professional optimist.
Christine Benner is a Financial Advisor with Robert W. Baird & Co. She provides a wide range of wealth management and investment services to her clients through the Baird office in downtown Cleveland. Her areas of expertise within financial services include life insurance strategy and annuity investment. Christine and her team have served clients for over 60 years.
Christine earned her Bachelor's degree from The University of Toledo and graduated Cum Laude. She began her career in the Financial Services Industry in 1991.
She has a passion for using her finance and communication skills to strengthen her community. She has been a member of Taste of the Nation Toledo Corporate Fundraising Committee for 8 years and a Junior Achievement classroom teacher volunteer for 20 years.
Christine was born and raised in Toledo, OH and now resides in Lakewood, OH. In her free time she enjoys fishing, outdoor activities, fitness, teaching, church and volunteering.
Joe Tomsick is the Chief Executive Officer of the Lake County Council on Aging, where he has served since 2012. A Lake County resident, Joe has worked as an active advocate for the aging population, helping to strengthen the Council on Aging’s partnerships within the community and with local agencies – focusing on the needs of the most vulnerable residents of Lake County.
Prior to being named CEO, Joe was with the Geauga County Department on Aging, where he oversaw all operations of Geauga County’s five Senior Centers. Joe has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from John Carroll University, is a current and past member of numerous boards including the Community Services and Supports committee of the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, a trustee for the Lake County Health District Fund Corporation, and the Association of Specialists in Aging of Lake County.
Joe is also host of a local, weekly radio show, “Our Aging World” which is broadcast on 101.5 FM.
